    Pastors’ Conference

“Churches Impacting Culture by Making Disciples”

October 19, 2017    Central Valley Baptist Church

    SPEAKER:  John Whittaker

John Whittaker has been serving in ministry for nearly 30 years.  He loves to help people see how God’s word speaks to their life and his greatest thrill in life is to see people come alive to the joy of walking with God honestly, humbly, and in great transformation.  Currently, John serves as the Teaching Pastor at The Pursuit, in Boise, Idaho, where he preaches, mentors, and guides people in their walk with God.  Prior to joining the staff at The Pursuit, he served as the Professor of Preaching and New Testament at Boise Bible College for 19 years.  While teaching there, he helped plant a church in Kuna, Idaho, where he led the adult education ministry and preached for 11 years.  He has taught classes for Eternity Bible College, led a pastors’ conference in Haiti, and preached in various places around the country.  His partner in ministry is Louise, with whom he’s shared more than half his life.  John and Louise love the privilege they have had of raising Jeffrey (20) and Ashley (17).  One of their greatest pleasures is just being together as a family.
