The Good Soil – Letting the Word of God take root in your heart
November 3, 2024
I was born and raised in Meridian, ID where I lived until I was 14, at which point my family moved into full-time missions on the US-Mexico border. In the fall of 2013 I met my beautiful wife Ally and together we attended Ethnos 360 Bible Institute where I received my degree in Biblical Theology with an emphasis in Missions and ministry. Ally and I got married in June of 2015 and have 2 children, Ezra and Celeste. My family and I love spending time in the outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, etc. and I am a big Boise State football fan.
I have served in church ministry for over 13 years primarily in worship and youth ministry.
My high school years had a tremendous impact on who and where I am today. When I was young I had amazing youth pastors and leaders who, in spite of my rebelliousness and dumb mistakes, saw the potential in me and cared enough about me to disciple and refine me into the man I am today. That is why I believe student ministry is so crucial! My heart is burdened to deeply invest in the lives and faith of young people and disciple youth to love the Lord and serve Him.
My favorite verse is one I pray to become true in our students lives,
Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
